Today I've made some icebox cookie doughs as requested for an upcoming house party next weekend.  I played around with a few colored doughs so they would look like poker chips when I slice them out for baking.

Trying out this new crunchy butter cookie recipe for the first time, I've decided to make a few flavors - chocolate, green tea and strawberry.  And of course, a dough for the original vanilla flavor.  As this recipe calls for more butter which makes cookies crunchy, I noticed that the dough seemed slightly harder to work with since it's more sticky so I had to constantly put the rolled dough into the freezer before working on the next layer.  Now they are all safely stored in the freezer before I bake them out the day before the party to make sure they stay fresh and crunchy. So excited! :)
